Our second Tech Tuesday was this week (March 6th). I wanted to share some of the information that was discussed, in case you were not able to attend.
Jerry Copley has created videos with his PowerPoint presentations that he built (we discussed the creation of these videos at the first Tech Tuesday). They are available for you to view on the Pickaway-Ross website. There are links in a few different places, right on the front page as well as under student resources “Need Math Help?, Click here” and the Technology Department page. He has uploaded the videos to Blackboard, so the link will take to directly to hisblackboard class.
Katie Siers shared how she is using iPad’s in her classroom. Click here to view the pdf that features how she is using them. She highlighted and did a demo of the app“e-Clicker.” E-Clicker allows us (for under $10) to turn the iPad’s into student response systems. You only have to purchase the “teacher” app. The app for the student iPad’s is free. She also discussed how she uses Blackboard to deliver her curriculum. Katie did a wonderful job and I thank her for taking the time to share!
Our next Tech Tuesday will be April 3rd, hope to see you there!
(All TechTuesdays are from 8-8:30am in room 201G)
