In this program you will:
- Apply psychomotor nursing skills needed to assist individuals in meeting basic human needs.
- Collect patient's vital signs including temperature, pulse rate, respiration rate, and blood pressure.
- Perform infection prevention, universal precautions, and proper patient identification.
- Observe patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions and document any change.
Certifications: CPR-First Aid, Ohio Department of Health - State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA), and Phlebotomy
College Credit: Earn up to seven semester hours of college credit in Medical Terminology, Responding to Emergencies, and CPR.
Career paths: Patient Care Assistant, Home Health Aide, Hospice Care, Clinical Assistant, and Phlebotomy Technician.
