In this program you will:A row of students dressed in law enforcement-style uniforms stand with their hands behind their backs in formation.

  • Use investigative techniques to solve crime scenarios.
  •  Learn to mediate and resolve conflicts.
  •  Develop mind and body using self-defense tactics and fitness training.
  •  Gain experience in recognizing impaired drivers, identifying excited delirium and use of safety devices, such as TASERs and Mace.

Industry Credentials: ICS-100 Introduction to the Incident; IS-800 National Response Command System Framework – An Introduction; ICS-200 ICS for Single Resource; OC/Pepper Spray; Initial Action Incident; ASP Baton; IS-700 National Incident Management; Taser Certification System – An Introduction; OSHA 10 

College Credits: Students can earn up to 15 college credits upon successful completion of program courses.  Seniors can also choose to take the EMT/Basic and Ohio Firefighter 1 courses offered through Pickaway-Ross Adult Education.

Career Pathways: parole officer, police officer, military careers, crime scene examiner, forensics engineer, private security officer, corrections officer
