      The curriculum is designed to help each student learn basic principles and entry-level competencies that are involved in the role of a medical assistant. Focus is placed on all aspects of the medical office and the role of the medical assistant within the office. The externship experience is planned to reinforce the theoretical world of the classroom in order to satisfy each student's understanding of the role of the medical assistant.
