In this program you will:
- Demonstrate an array of technical skills with an emphasis given to quality practices, measurement, maintenance and safety.
- Learn industrial robotic operations and system configurations and code, compile, and debug programs using industrial robotic programming language.
- Learn about robotics and automation, manufacturing processes, computer modeling, manufacturing equipment and flexible manufacturing systems.
- Apply the knowledge and skills necessary to program and operate robots, using the teach pendant as the main interface point.
Certifications: OSHA 10, Parker Hydraulics, FANUC – Handling Tool Operation and Programming, FANUC CNC, Allen Bradley PLC, Yaskawa Motoman operations and programming, and Lean Six Sigma
College Credit: Earn up to nine semester hours of college credit in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CADD), Programming Logic Controls, and Manufacturing Processes.
Career paths: Maintenance Technician, Robotics, Technician, Process Technician, Engineering Technician, Automation Technician, Controls Technician, and Engineer (post-secondary education required for some occupations).
