"I believe that culture drives any organization, be it industry, retail or education."
Jonathan Davis, Superintendent
The culture we create at Pickaway-Ross is one of collaboration and achievement that puts high school students and adult learners on paths to success.
My own path started here at Pickaway-Ross as a preschooler. Years later, with an education degree under my belt, I returned as a social studies teacher.
After running my own business and taking on numerous leadership roles at Circleville City Schools, including the past 5 years as superintendent, I am excited to return to lead the Pickaway-Ross district.
My goal is to take my experiences, relationships and knowledge of our wonderful area to benefit students, staff members and the community as a whole.
In my short time back, I have loved what I see in the classrooms, career labs and in Adult Education.
Our teachers are talented, they motivate and inspire, and instill life skills while providing opportunities to help students as they decide on their next step.
And the exciting part for students is they have every possible next step available to them as we put them in the best position to succeed.
Students can continue their education at college, taking with them college credits from their Pickaway-Ross academic courses and career programs.
Last year, students earned 192 college credits through Pickaway-Ross.
Another choice is to immediately enter the workforce, an opportunity aided by Pickaway-Ross placing 92 percent of our students upon completing high school with one of our partner employers.
Students also can choose to enter the military, having received numerous opportunities to learn about the branches of the military during their time with us.
A school district is, essentially, a service organization as we are here to help our students and we believe by pairing students with excellent staff members, providing academic and career training and connecting those students with amazing local employers that we are benefiting the success of our community as a whole.
We’re here to help students. We’re here to help families. We’re here to help the community.
And I am proud to be a part of this institution and am excited for what the future holds.
