Remembering Mr. Anderson
Pickaway-Ross is saddened to share the passing of former Social Studies teacher, Mr. Bill Anderson. A dedicated educator, Mr. Anderson left a lasting impact on his students and colleagues alike.
Known for his thoughtful approach to teaching and classroom management, he was voted Most Influential Staff Member in 2020—just a year after the award’s inception. Students recognized his ability to make learning engaging, saying, "Mr. Anderson truly cares about his students" and "He makes his classroom a very easy place to learn and always keeps class interesting."
Mr. Anderson believed in mutual respect, once sharing, "I have found that if you listen to the students and remember what they tell you, they will open up. Respect is a two-way street, and I tell my students that I will treat them like the young adults that they are."
His wisdom, kindness, and unwavering support for students will not be forgotten. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all those who were impacted by his presence at Pickaway-Ross.
If you were one of the many students or colleagues who were touched by Mr. Anderson’s dedication, we invite you to share your favorite memory of him over on our Facebook post, let’s honor his legacy together.
