February marks Career Technical Education (CTE) Month, a nationwide celebration recognizing the impact of career-focused education on students, employers, and communities. Throughout the month, Pickaway-Ross Career & Technology Center will spotlight the programs, students, and real-world learning experiences that define career technical education.
CTE programs combine classroom instruction with hands-on training, allowing students to gain technical skills, industry-recognized credentials, and valuable work-based experiences before graduation. From healthcare and public safety to construction, manufacturing, and beyond, students engage in learning that directly connects to high-demand career fields.
Community members are encouraged to follow the district’s social media channels throughout February to see student achievements, lab activities, credentials earned, and work-based learning in action.
CTE Month serves as a reminder that career-focused education plays a vital role in preparing students for success while strengthening the local and regional workforce.
