At Logan Elm High School, students are leaving their mark through a satellite program with the Pickaway-Ross Career & Technology Center. Under the guidance of their teacher, Gary Mitchel, 12 students recently completed the 22nd pole barn project of the program, marking it as their most ambitious undertaking yet.

Devin and Stacy Braun, homeownersThis initiative extends a helping hand to homeowners like Devin and Stacy Braun, who generously provided their property for the construction and handled the cost of materials. With logistical support from the district, the students managed a budget of approximately $50,000 for materials, demonstrating their ability to navigate challenges within their allotted time.

Devin Braun commended the students for their craftsmanship and professionalism, foreseeing the barn's utility for workshops and storage. Reflecting on their experience, the students acknowledged the program's role in fostering teamwork, practical skills, and a sense of community responsibility.

Mr. Mitchel speaks to a group of people inside the recently constructed barn. For Mr. Mitchel, this endeavor is more than just building structures; it's about instilling pride, ambition, and a commitment to excellence in his students. He believes in their potential to impact both now and in the future positively.

With each completed project, the students witness firsthand the tangible results of their hard work and dedication. Beyond constructing buildings, they are building brighter futures for themselves and their community, one nail at a time.
