Construction Technologies students gained real-world experience today during a visit from Buckeye Propane, where students learned the fundamentals of propane systems and the role propane plays in the construction industry.
Thanks to a grant from the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC), the Construction Technologies program purchased a propane tank, a heater, and additional supplies. These resources allow students to train with industry-standard equipment while learning how to safely and correctly hook up propane systems.
During the visit, Bob and Kevin from Buckeye Propane walked students through proper setup procedures and safety considerations and shared insights into careers in the propane industry. The experience gave students a valuable look at how classroom learning connects directly to workforce needs.
Pickaway-Ross is grateful to Buckeye Propane, PERC, Bob, and Kevin for their time and commitment to helping prepare students for successful careers in the skilled trades.
