In partnership with Pickaway WORKS, Pickaway-Ross Career & Technology Center students took career exploration beyond campus this week as part of Next Stop: Future Ready, an outreach experience at Circleville Middle School.
Student ambassadors spent the day engaging 7th graders in conversations about career pathways, hands-on learning, and the many opportunities available through career-technical education. Through interactive activities, students explored in-demand career fields while learning directly from peers who are already preparing for their futures.
The experience also included virtual college campus tours using VR technology, thanks to the PRCTC's Technology Department, and an engineering trailer from Shawnee State University, giving middle school students a glimpse of postsecondary and technical career options.
What made the day impactful was the leadership shown by Pickaway-Ross students. As future-ready learners themselves, they helped inspire curiosity, confidence, and awareness in the next generation.
